Meeting of CTVET Technical Team

On skills needed for ‘green’ economy, petroleum Guyana said to be on the cusp of transformation into a petroleum state and a ‘green’ economy, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) has sought to engage stakeholders on the skills which are necessary during the transition.

This was the response given by the Director of CTVET Mr. Floyd Scott, at a STAR Program under the Ministry of Education.
THERE is a partnership brewing among ExxonMobil, the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and the Board of Industrial Training (BIT) for financial assistance for skills training to give youths a better chance of entering the oil-and-gas industry.
The Director of the Council for TVET, Mr. Floyd Scott, gave a charge at the CVQ Orientation for Heads of Institutions/Secondary Schools.
